Competitions

Students at Wendy Shorter Interiors have the opportunity of competing in three different competitions, allowing their creativity to come through in design work as well as excellence in their traditional and modern upholstery skills.   We would like to thank all our sponsors for their support and encouragement.

Heico Fasteners Competition

Heico Competition Winners 2012

Our students won all the prizes at the 2012 Heico Competition at the Furniture Show at the NEC Birmingham on Sunday 22nd January.  The students were challenged to design and make a miniature chair incorporating the Heico range of powder coated decorative nails in a decorative and innovative way.  First prize went to Rachael Stevenson for her Crown Chair with Runner-Up prizes to Tracey Douglas for her Postcard Chair and Steve Blake for his Toaster Chair.
